David Wenborn is a London-born, predominantly self-taught painter whose work encompasses a broad range of subjects, inspired primarily by the landscapes and coastlines of the British Isles. His practice has evolved through extensive work across various painting media. Today, he works mainly in oils and acrylics, drawn to their versatility, durability, and depth of colour.

Craftmanship and quality are central to David’s practice. He works exclusively with the highest-quality materials, enabling a consistent standard of finish and longevity across all his work. Light, colour, and atmosphere play a defining role in his painting, allowing him to explore both the physical presence and emotional resonance of a particular place or moment. Through this approach, he continues to refine a distinctive visual language—his own artistic voice.

Alongside his Leicestershire studio practice, David also delivers art demonstrations and workshops, sharing his techniques and insights with fellow artists and art students.
